Retractable Stanchions
Retractable stanchions are one of the most widely used crowd control systems for managing lines, directing pedestrian traffic, and creating flexible queue layouts. Commonly used in airports, retail stores, stadiums, government buildings, event venues, and buffet lines, retractable belt barriers allow layouts to be changed quickly while maintaining an organized appearance.
While Stanchion Masters® focuses primarily on decorative post and rope stanchions, we are also developing future retractable designs that better complement faux wood, faux marble, and other decorative environments. For customers who currently need a belt barrier system, we can help source quality retractable stanchions when that style is the better fit for the space.
Our Recommended Retractable Stanchion
At this time, our preferred retractable stanchion is the Visiontron PRIME HD PHD101. We recommend this model because it is designed for both indoor and outdoor use and features a cast iron base with Visiontron’s EVERstraight® threaded steel base connection to help the post remain straight over time. It also includes an aluminum post ready for outdoor use, a 10 foot belt, an integrated lock with quick release button, and a slow retracting belt brake for added safety.

Future Stanchion Masters® Retractables
Stanchion Masters® is planning future retractable stanchion designs that will better coordinate with our faux wood, faux marble, and other decorative stanchion themes. Our goal is to offer retractable crowd control options that do more than manage lines by also fitting the look and character of hospitality, retail, restaurant, and event environments.
